Apex Internet is a leading New Zealand based Search Engine Marketing Company offering effective solutions to clients in New Zealand and abroad. We are seeking an experienced Search Marketing Specialist to join our team. The successful applicant will have a solid understanding of Search Engine Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Google AdWords campaign management, Google Analytics interpretation / analysis, and conversion optimisation and measurement.

The Role

We are looking for a passionate, experienced and skilled search marketer who will be responsible for implementing successful campaigns for a portfolio of high profile clients. You will work in partnership with your clients to help them reach their online marketing goals. As well as being responsible for on-page SEO, creative link building and content marketing initiatives, you’ll also be establishing, reviewing and managing Google AdWords campaigns. You’ll then be monitoring, measuring and interpreting the success of these campaigns via Google Analytics.

Skills and Abilities

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing successful Search Marketing campaigns. 
• Highly skilled in current Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) techniques (including an understanding of technical SEO) 
• Skilled in the management of Google AdWords campaigns
• Skilled in Google Analytics interpretation and analysis 
• Experience with Social Media Marketing – particularly Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn 
• An understanding of how website design and development impact on SEM 
• Understanding of conversion optimisation 
• Strong web copy writing skills for websites, blogs and other content marketing 
• Be proficient in HTML and display knowledge of a range of Content Management Systems. 
• Ability to offer creative solutions – outside the box thinking. 
• Strong marketing background and commercial focus 
• Superb written English and excellent verbal communication skills 
• Ability to communicate confidently with clients and senior management 
• Strong project planning and time management skills 
• Display high level of attention to detail 
• Be a self-starter and a display a high degree of common sense
• Be passionate about the Search Marketing industry 
• Able to work autonomously and have the skills to prioritise your workload

Qualifications in the following would be ideal:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher – preferable but not necessary 
• Google Adwords and Google Analytics Certified – we will assist you with gaining qualifications as necessary.
